Gamefight Wakefield’s own Ian Shaw is taking on the epic Great Glen Canoe Trail—a 60-mile (95km) kayak journey across Scotland from Fort William to Inverness, battling the open waters of Loch Lochy and Loch Ness.

🗓 Challenge Dates: Friday 2 May – Monday 5 May 2025

Gamefight Wakefield & REORG Charity

Gamefight Wakefield is part of the REORG scheme, supporting veterans and emergency service personnel through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and fitness training. This challenge is not just about one man’s journey—it represents our shared mission to give back to those who have served.

💪 The Mission
Ian, an Army veteran with 22 years of service, is tackling this demanding challenge to raise £1,000 for REORG Charity, an organization dedicated to supporting veterans, military personnel, and emergency service workers through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Functional Fitness. Having personally benefited from REORG’s support, Ian is determined to give back and help others rediscover confidence, purpose, and camaraderie.

🔥 The Challenge
Most complete this journey in 4-5 days—Ian aims to finish in just 2-3 days! Facing unpredictable weather and the sheer endurance test of paddling across Scotland, this will be a true test of resilience and grit.
